Anchoring a view in nx drafting

Anchoring a view in nx drafting

Anchoring a view in nx drafting

(OP)
hi everybody...i was wondering if it is possible to anchor the views in nx drafting , i am asking this beacause i am automating the view scale to change according to the model size ,but the problem here is the position of the views change when the model changes...so is there a way i can anchor the views to the sheet so no matter what the position of the view does not change.

RE: Anchoring a view in nx drafting

What version of NX are you on?

RE: Anchoring a view in nx drafting

I am on NX6, this is the way I do it.
What you want to do is set (or change) the anchor point of the view.
This point will stay at the same place on the drawing while everything else will grow around it.
Edit -> View -> View Boundry -> Anchor point . . .
You can pick a point of the solid body
It is pretty much the same in other versions, but the "anchor point" menu may be someplace else, I don't quite remember.

i am using nx 7.5

RE: Anchoring a view in nx drafting

It works the same in NX7.5 as it did in NX6.

Are your dimensions moving when the part size changes?
You may want to associate them to the part, so when the part moves so do the dimensions.

Edit -> annotation -> origin -> drag (top-left icon) -> then on the right side (point menu) pick a point (maybe arc center) and pick the point on the part you want the dimension to move with
