: "how to calculate steam flow rate in pipes(saturated team),with out using flow meter,by simply knowing preesure of the flow and dia of the pipe(pl help me). my approach is q=a*v;v=sqrt 2gh;this h can be calculted by changing pressure head to velcity head.since only one pressur gage is there i couldn't .u know how to calcate it.or u can provide me any materials for calcating it. pl help me boss

You can not calculate the flow rate in a pipe only by the static pressure (which is what you are measuring with that gauge), you need the pressure drop along the header.

Is the end of the pipe to atmosphere?
