colchester coolant pump
colchester coolant pump
(OP)
I have a Colchester lathe with a pump that I want to wire for the 400v side. The problem is there isn't a wiring diagram located anywhere on the motor or in it. It is a Colchester coolant pump no.149645. 200/250v 400/440v 3 phase. There is only six wires coming out of the motor not the usual 9. there are no markings on them. the only thing that could help is they are different colors. Anybody have one of these with the diagram that you could send me?

400/440 V drawing shows black, brown & grey linked together and red blue and yellow connected to the three lines.
200/250 V drawing red and black connected to one line, blue and grey to another line, brown and yellow to the third line.
I see there is provision for attachments. I will scan the drawing for you and see if it can be attached.
My lathe was made in 1964 and I think the coolant pump is the original. I have just had the pump motor rewound.
Does this help?
