I am looking for information on this company & machine, and all I have been able to find is that they went out of business back in 2005 and that there are a bunch of these for resale.

Has anyone ever worked with one of these before?

RE: Wolf shear 80X1/4 PS

Wolf- Basic was an importer of machine tools from the far east. Located in Pomona California. (WOLF-BASIC MACHINE TOOLS
105 Exchange Way, Pomona, CA )
Their smaller shears were knock offs of the Edwards squaring shear made originally in Britain.
I have no idea of the origins of the larger shear. Consider that you are looking at an orphan tool fabricated in the far east, the thing may still be made under another brand name, but I do not know which. Put it in the category of JET tools. If you can get it at a low enough price and throw it away if it breaks it may be worth while getting.
