Removing "Name Only" references in clone

Removing "Name Only" references in clone

Removing "Name Only" references in clone

(OP)
Hi,

I'm stuck with a "problem" when cloning my assesmbly in teamcenter (or importing/exporting to tc/native).
The thing is that I've got references that I can't get rid of. These references doesn't exist as parts any longer, however they still lives on as "Name Only reference" when cloning. I can't find any relations to these parts anywhere in tc or native.

Any ideas how I could find and get rid of them?

NX6.0.5.3 MP1

Best regards
/Lars

Thanks! I've searched the forum for answers but didn't come across this.
I've tried to use the part cleanup tools without any "luck" so hopefully there will be other methods.

RE: Removing "Name Only" references in clone

Lars,

I presume that you have looked for interpart links (expressions and or geometry) already.

Make a new empty part file with the name of the Name Only Reference part. With that part already loaded in the NX session open the assembly part, add the Name only reference part as a component part, run part cleanup for the assembly then delete the component and finally save the assembly.

Thanks Joe,

I tried your approach but still without any luck.
It ended up with me having to recreate/rebuild my (top) assembly to get rid of my problems.

Thank you guys for your effort!

/Lars
