HeLLo,
I have designed a large steel structure many years ago using staad pro. I really liked it.
Now, I mdesigning stell and concrete structures
I would like to use it for concrete design.
Is it simple to use. do u advice me to have it...
I use normally the french code or the eurocode
Your feedback will be appreciated.

RE: Staad

I have used STAAD Pro mostly for concrete design and found it be very useful. Of course you have to learn features unique to the porgram but it can be very handy.

many thanks

RE: Staad

Depends what you want to get out of it. If you want a very simplistic ultimate strength conctrete design and are not worried about deflection calculations etc. probably ok.

If you want reasonable estimates of deflections, it is no use as it does not understand cracking or long term effects.
