Soric LRC Data ?

Soric LRC Data ?

Soric LRC Data ?

(OP)
Hello all, my first post here. Lantour is located over seas and I cannot seem to get them to respond in regards to Soric 3mil LRC flexible core. I am infusing a part now (have been) with an 0/+45/-45 22oz with a .75ov cont veil stiched to it, on top of a 1.5oz layer of cont mat, and a typical 20mil gel coat, and .75oz skin coat. I want to switch the procedure to a no skin coat infusion with epoxy (we are using a VE from Cooks) and use the LRC as a core and layers of cloth 2oz as print barrier/10oz/LRC/10oz However I have no experience or data on these. Does anyone have data on soric panels ? Thank you

I wanted to add we are currently using glass rienforcements, and I assumed everyone would know this...sorry. Also I will add the cloth I mentioned switching too will be glass also with possible aramid/carbon spot reinforcing in certain areas. This is a small boat we currently build that we have redesigned and are trying to drastically reduce weight on without going to a carbon hull.

RE: Soric LRC Data ?

Have you checked other brands of core mat?
From your post, I gather that you are not doing a core mat yet , but would like to.

I do not want to use 'coremat' as i am infusing the laminate- I have not checked out any other materials as I am pretty set on using the LRC as other simular makes of boats have had success

RE: Soric LRC Data ?

Vanguard industies have used it with success, However bear in mind that LRC is a micro balloon/glass sphere loaded mat, with a honeycomb pattern pre wetted into it to prevent excess resin wet out. I was using the term core mat as generic term not as a brand name. Soric is based in Holland I am presuming that if you are using Cook Paint and Varnish products you are in the USA. If that is the case bear in mind that they are between 6 and 9 hours ahead of you.
