sew - Output Multiple Sheets - option

(OP)
Hi, question - in the the sew command we can join a face, sheetbody -when they build up a closed shell to a volume. Using the multiple sheets option will end up in a closed sheetbody.
How can I convert the closed sheetbody(ies) to a volume(s)?
thank in ad

sorry new in NX
regards
Erwin

What version of NX are you running?

RE: sew - Output Multiple Sheets - option

Irrespective of what version of NX that you're using, there are basically 3 things that you can do:

a) Don't EVER use the 'Output Multiple Sheets' option if you are NOT going to benefit from what it was intended for.

b) Delete the Sew feature (NOT the sewn body) and Sew it over again, only this time WITHOUT the 'Output Multiple Sheets' option toggled ON.

c) If for some reason you can't use the 'b' option, you can always go to...

Insert -> Combine -> Unsew...

...and select any one of the faces of the sewn sheet body and hit OK. Now go back to the Sew operation, and again, WITHOUT the 'Output Multiple Sheets' option toggled ON, sew your model by selecting the newly 'Unsewn' sheet body and then the rest of the model. Granted this is a bit of a kludge, but it will give you what you're looking for in the end, a SOLID body without having to start-over from scratch.

thanks John on reply,
I'm using nx8.02 -
as far as I understand - no closed sheetbody to solidbody conversion only the workaround open sheetbody to solidbody.

That's correct.
