I am going to take my Lvl II in the next couple of weeks. I am curious how in depth the test gets with calcs. I have done calcs by hand but only during an NFSA seminar. I would think it could not be that complicated with the cheesy on screen calculator they provide. I would love to hear in put from anyone who has taken the CBT for Lvl II.

The calcs for lvl 2 are simple. The ask you to calc flow readings from hydrants more than anything if I remember correctly. Other questions revolved around design calculating design density for residential and such. I am a field tech and not a designer and even I found it easy.

Alright , so as far as the hydrants, they give you the hydrant coefficient, they hydrant opening diameter and your pitot pressure and you come up with the gpm? Just want my head in the right frame when I go in to take it.
