VIEW TO MODEL

(OP)
I've upgraded from NX6 to NX8, today i came to use "view dependant edit" / view to model.
I ended up doing it in NX6, as in NX8 we no longer have the use of simple curves, and have to sketch in view, then when you try to select what you want to move to model space, you can't select the sketch.
Can someone suggest a work around for this?
(The part was scanned on a flat bed scanner, imported as a tiff image, and I'm reverse engineering it with this method.)

RE: VIEW TO MODEL

Turn on either the Lines & Arcs or Curve toolbar (see image) when in Drafting and make sure the curves are unassociative.
Then you can do what you want.
