Customer defaults not changing
Customer defaults not changing
(OP)
Question, is there a trigger in the envir file to point the site at a certain customer default. We are trying to make changes to the customer default settings and the setting stay saved but the changes are not being carried out. Quick example is the font. Our current setting is blockfont the preference would be to set to ideas_simplex. We change the setting and it is saved on U:\CONFIGURATION\UGSNX6\STARTUP\nx6_site.dvp. Then shut down nx and restart the changes are still in the customer default but the changes don't show up in a new drawing. When looking for the file it saved I noticed there are four other DVP files in that folder which are labeled company specific. Is there a way of editing these changes. I've been getting around this with a recorded macro to change my preferences at the start of new file creation.

RE: Customer defaults not changing
That being said, there is one other issue that you need to check. When you say that you're changing the font in Customer Defaults, are we talking about changing it in one of the Drafting Standards found at...
Customer Defaults -> Drafting -> General -> Standard -> Customize Standard -> Annotation -> Lettering
...and if so have, have you set the standard that you wish to use on the...
Customer Defaults -> Drafting -> General -> Standard
...page?
Now there is one other thing that you need to check and that is at...
Preferences -> Drafting -> General
...in the section of the dialog labeled 'Drawing Settings' is the option set to 'Use Settings from Drawing Template' or 'Use Settings from Standard'?
If the second option is the one that is set, then it will use whatever standard has been designated at...
Tools -> Drafting Standard...
...where you can designate both where you wish to get the Standard from and what specific standard to use for the current Drawing file.
