I have a slender duct w/ an inlet, a dead end, and a condenser on one face that I need the air to go through somewhat uniformly, with, of course, minimum backpressure, or head loss turning the corner.

Thinking about it as a diffusion process, as opposed to forcing air around a corner.
I've had success using a honeycomb grid placed diagonally across the flow, but it may cost me too much flow.

I thought about dividing the duct into 3 parts, each expanding 3:1 from the entry to the exit, image attached. Could anyone give some design guidance? Material at hand is sheet metal. Arrows indicate approximate or desired velocity.

You're probably better off with a diagonal array of quarter-circle turning vanes, to get the flow going in a direction normal to the condenser face.

As proposed, you're still basically blowing the air across the condenser face.
