Honeycomb material

(OP)
Toolies! Looking for .5" cell dia x 3/4-1-1/4" deep honeycomb core material. Not sammich panels, just the core. 12"x16" slices. Intended use is as a flow diffuser in a duct. Cardboard is not preferred because of moisture, dirt & durability concerns, Nomex, kevlar, other aerospace is also out- way too expensive. Real honeycomb is right out- temperature & stickiness concerns.

Any ideas, or better, vendors?
