Analysing bending resistance and torsional resistance

Analysing bending resistance and torsional resistance

Analysing bending resistance and torsional resistance

(OP)
Hello,

How can I analyse bending resistance (I) and torsional resistance (W) for CATPart?

I haven't found the right tools for that. Measure inertia
tool gives a lot of information like Inertia matrixes etc.
but not I and W values.

I tried to look for right tools from online documentation,
but all results leads to measure inertia.

RE: Analysing bending resistance and torsional resistance

Although I haven't personally used it, in the Generative Structural Analysis workbench there's a function "Cut Plane Analysis" that gives section properties.  If this is the demo I saw, you can move the cutting plane around "on the fly" and get the properties anywhere on the part easily.
