Inconel 625 for stem material
Inconel 625 for stem material
(OP)
Hello,
I just run torque for valve size 8" 1500#.My client has requested for Inconel 625 for the stem material. But from the torque simulation,i am not able to select Inconel 625 for stem material and the only way is to choose Inconel 718.From my understanding,we can upgrade the stem from Inconel 625 to Inconel 718 for the valve size 12" and above.
In this case, does anyone here knows why i can't use Inconel 625 for stem material for valve 8" 1500#

If you want an exact discussion of material properties, try the forum 'metal and metallurgy engineering'.
'Torque simulation' ?.
Is this possibly a program that gives torque forces allowable in combination for stem diameter, length and material? Do you have the possibillity to check (and later supply?) with a larger (over standard or reinforced) diameter in stead of another (stronger?) material?
