How do you know what moisture content to use for design of wood members/connectors per NDS.

I am designing wood members for a patio. The members are under roof with an overhang of 2.0'. I am in South Florida so the humidity is high most of the time during the summer months. Don't think there will be direct wetting so only the humidity will cause moisture content to vary. Don't see where NDS provides any guidance for this.

RE: WET SERVICE FACTORS (Cm) PER NDS

If it is outdoors I always assume it to have the maximum moisture exposure. What with sprinklers, mist systems, ice dumped on the deck, rain, etc.

As EOR's we should take the responsibility to design our structures to support the components we allow in our design per that industry standards.
