Assembly question

Assembly question

Assembly question

(OP)
Hey guys, im new to Pro e and i am having a problem.

I designed a pallet, and i am trying to place a reel on it.

What i did was align on of the flanges of the reel with the side of the pallet, but what i want to do but i cant is place the reel between two boards.
The reel would only be touching the two boards and nothing else, like so http://img.directindustry.com/images_di/photo-m2/reel-holder-pallets-538286.jpg

Any help with what type of constrain should i use?

RE: Assembly question

Your best option is to use datum planes and mate those. You should have a horizontal plane in the center of the reel... use an offset mate to one of the horizontal surfaces on the base and you should be good to go.

I appreciate the tip, but got the answer for that yesterday.

just in case anyone is curious, what i had to do was create a small round at the edge of the pallet, and then just make the two round edges on the pallet tangent to the flange of the reel.
