magnetic material properties of a cast hardenedsteel 20CrMn



we have to use a chinese standard 20CrMn cast hardened steel. Can anyone provide us with the amgnetic material properties of this carbon steel?

This steel is a chinese standard, and we face problems on finding material properties. Unfortunately we have to use it, since the customer want to use only this steel!

what is the composition? if it is equivalent to 304 austenitic stainless steel, it is non-ferromagnetic! magnetic properties make no sense.

Hello MagBen,

thanks for the reply. I guess it is not like the 304 steel. The 20CrMn is a case-hardened steel which magnetic properties are slightly different from the original 20CrMn material. In the application it is used, it has been reported that it has a residual magnetization. I need the material properties, the BH curve for simulating this magnetization effects.
