PIR or polyurethane insulation application and flame spread characteristic

(OP)

I am thinking of using PIR/UR as the default insulation for pipe support. This insulation will find application on cold duty of a onshore terminal. Has anyone encountered any problems in the past/present with this material? Also, I am advice to look up the flame spread index (surface burning characteristic), which I did. It has a 25/50 but does it mean?

Any thoughts?
