"Stubby" Hollow Plunge Cylinder

"Stubby" Hollow Plunge Cylinder

Hi,

Does anybody know of a "stubby" Hollow Plunge Cylinder. Ideally, I would like somethign akin to a pancake cylinder but with a hole through the middle. To get a rough idea of dimensions, the inner diameter will need to be about 70mm and the length would need to be 150mm max, smaller is better. Travel distance will be <50mm and thrust to be applied is 5kN.

Enerpac seem to be the dominant brand and I can't seem to find another manufacture of this kind of product.

Does anyone have experience with these types of devices?

Thanks
Steve

RE: "Stubby" Hollow Plunge Cylinder

I have some experience using hollow Enerpac cylinders. What's your question? And what's wrong with Enerpac?

Hey,

The problem I'm having is I need a large inner diameter (70mm ish) and minimum length. I don't even need for the plunger to travel far.

Enerpac do a 79mm inner hollow cylinder but it is 250ish mm in length which is too big for me. I need something smaller.

RE: "Stubby" Hollow Plunge Cylinder

Why not go to the machine shop and get one turned from the material of choice? Chances of getting what you need seem unlikely in the commercial market. Sounds like you have a niche need, not much commerce there!

Cockroach
