(OP)
We to have to hardface the ID of an A420 WPL6 which is a low Temp (-50F) wrought fitting. Do I need to run impact tests when qualifying the PQR per ASME Section 9 QW-453

Thanks

RE: Cladding on A420 WPL6

Section IX never tells you when you have to do impact testing on a PQR, only how to do them when required. So the construction code will tell you when impact tests are required. However, I don't know of any construction code requiring them, and Section IX doesn't have any rules on how to perform them.
