Does anybody the procedure to calculate embedment depth for soldier pile with tieback anchors in rock? I looked at Cir. No. 4 but I couldn't get any useful information.

Get yourself a copy of "Foundation Engineering" by Jumikis, 1986 and look at his "Equivalent Beam Method". This will give you procedure for embedment and anchor forces, etc. The FHWA publications on tieback designs are very conservative.

Thank you for your sugesstion. Actually, I tried with this procedure. For some reason, I was thinking that I was using a wrong method Tieback anchor wall. Anyhow, thanks a lot for giving a valuable suggestions.
