The emboss die, how to do that?

The emboss die, how to do that?

The emboss die, how to do that?

(OP)
Hello
Im working on a metal sheet to emboss and I need to manufacture the die that embosses it
My sheet is:
http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=d9015aa8-f409-46df-a072-e9c3fc32827d&file=Sheet.PNG
My probleme is that I cant find a way to model the die that creates the embosses on the upper face.
Any suggestion?
Thank you

What version of NX are you working in?

I;m using NX 7.5

RE: The emboss die, how to do that?

Is it "one punch" and the complete sheet is done or "one punch per cavity" ?
I guess that a simple method would be to extrude the die cross section thru the sheet, then use Insert - Trim- Trim body.
Depending on the size of the extrusion you would get both options.

Hey Thomas,
Thanks, that works perfectly, the emboss is done on one single punch.
The trim body gives exactly what I want.
Have a good day
