Simply Supported Beam For Window Analysis
Simply Supported Beam For Window Analysis
(OP)
Hi,
I am looking for documentation on the use of Simply Supported Beam, Area Moments of Inertia and Section Modulus to analyse an Aluminium Casement or Sliding Window with 2 leaves, say 1200x1200 to withstand a wind pressure of 2400 Pa or 225 Km/H.
I am looking on meaning and usage of the support (pin and roller) in the case of a casement and a sliding window? What about a 3-leaves or 6 leaves sliding doors? In that case, I believe that we should use a continuous beam schematic drawing? Am I right or totally wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help.
