Light/visualisations settings
Light/visualisations settings
(OP)
Hi All
One of guys in China has an issue with his visualisations preferences and I cannot remote access his box from here in England. He has sent the screen shot you can see attached which is basically of a solid block although is looks like a sheet body or hollow box. I told him to try Preferences --> Visualisation --> and toggle on 2 sided lights, but this does not work. Can any one else recommend another setting? It is the same on all the terminals there BTW.
Cheers

RE: Light/visualisations settings
The two sided lights should not matter as long as the object is a solid body, it should simplify the visualisation of the backside of the faces, i.e the body seen from the inside and outwards. I have seen this on a (very-very) few cases where the normals were reversed. ( - Step converted models)
My first guess would rather be the graphics driver / adapter.

RE: Light/visualisations settings
If the above replies don't pan out, try looking at these:
Are ALL the faces the same color? I ask because one is green - then there COULD be two darker red faces and orange faces, giving the illusion that it's a lighting issue. There was some sort of setting or toggle that allowed for multi colored faces - not sure if it's still around (not at work at the moment)...might check that.
Might also check which default lights they have ON and what their values are set at. Make sure they aren't in Studio Display mode, but SHADED mode as well.
Good luck.
