Plastic-specific fasteners, where to buy in smaller quantities

Plastic-specific fasteners, where to buy in smaller quantities

(OP)
Gidday people, from down under in New Zealand.

I design small watertight enclosures (for scientific instrumentation) made typically from machined acetal (Delrin). The best type of fastener to hold these things together are those designed specifically for plastics and have a small (sharp) thread angle with extra space between the threads. The ends are blunt (since the hole is pre-drilled) and some have a tri-lobal shape. Head diameters are twice the nominal thread size and the drive is typically Torx. 2mm and 3mm thread diameter make up are the majority of what I need, pan and flat heads, 6 to 12mm long.

We generally buy around 500 at a time and in the past I've found exactly what I want at McMaster-Carr. However, they are now refusing to sell to us since "discovering" we are not "in America." They even refuse to sell to our US office, citing their wares are "not for export."

So, I'm looking for a less-ignorant, internationally-aware supplier for these sorts of fasteners. Certainly no-one in this country sells these.
Any leads appreciated!

You could try Blackwoods in Sydney Australia.

EJOT makes really good screws for plastics. You will have to figure out where to buy them locally.
