Belt Furnace Contamination

Belt Furnace Contamination

Belt Furnace Contamination

(OP)

I am researching possible parameters that could be affecting the quality of our heat treated products and am interested in inline continuous furnace processing rather than batch processing. Is there any concern with possible contamination from the metal belts being used in these inline conveyer furnaces?

RE: Belt Furnace Contamination

Yes, contamination can occur with belts as time progresses. Furnaces need to be equipped with a steel brush to clean large unwanted particles. Another device such as an ultrasonic cleaner needs to be installed in the furnace to further clean smaller particles that could affect the quality of solar cell manufacturing.
