Eigensolution Pop Up

(OP)
When I receieve the Iegensolution Already Done pop up I usually click no and have the program run a new Eigensolution because I don't know how this would effect my results.
1. If I were just comparing Different LC's could I use the previous Eigensolution?

2. When is this option to keep current Eigensolution best utalized?

RE: Eigensolution Pop Up

If I've got a large model that took a long time to solve, then I might look at the response spectra in the X direction at first. Then come back later and look at the spectra in the Y, or Z directions. When doing this, it will save me some time to re-use the current eigen solution. That's also true if I changed the spectra method from CQC to Gupta or SRSS.

But, if I changed the number of modes or the Load Combination that defines the mass then I have to perform a new eigen solution to get the new updated results.
