(OP)
Am experiencing a problem with vortex flow meters(Rosemount  8800D) that we are using to measure flow of Nickel solvent but at the moment using water to test here at Ambatovy in Madagascar. We are discharging a vessel of  known volume of water 40m3 into an autoclave and it takes 19minutes to discharge the vessel. The vessel is pressurized and discharged using a valve. THE VORTEX METER is reading a maximum of 37m3/hr.my range is 0-190m3/hr. Our process pressure is 2750KPa and temperature is 195deg C.HAVING ENTERED THESE PARAMETERS THE TRANSMITTER IS CALCULATING MY DENSITY RATIO TO BE 16.7374.THE URV SHEDDING FREQUENCY IS 64Hz which is what am getting when i use the formulae on the manual. The K-FACTOR is 4.6604 which is the value on the name plate of the element.

From a general calculation the 40m3 that is discharged into the autoclave in 19min is approximately 120m3/hr. This shows that the transmitter is under reading.as described above those are the parameters set. Other than the above mentioned parameter settings, what do we need to set to get the correct reading or what other solution can you suggest.

RE: help

...or have I simply confirmed your calculated URV shedding frequency?
