Cocamidopropyl Betaine ( CAPB ) storage tank

Cocamidopropyl Betaine ( CAPB ) storage tank

(OP)
I have been asked to line a second hand GRP tank so it can store this chemical at 20 Deg C.  I have never heard of CAPB previously and the Client has been told that a new tank would need to be Hasteloy or an equally exotic Stainless steel.
All I can discover about CAPB is that it is coconut oil with the addition of dimethyl amino propyl amine and the end product is  known as a Surfactant to be used as shampoo, body lotion, etc. etc. I find it difficult to believe that coconut oil with the trace elements mentioned need any special material of construction    Before I reply to this enquiry please can anyone comment on this product - - am I missing something important or has the Client been misinformed ?
Any comments greatly appreciated.

Is this what you found.

RE: Cocamidopropyl Betaine ( CAPB ) storage tank

MSDS sheets for this material shows no incompatibility provided storage and handling requirements listed are followed. I wonder if the 4.6% to 5.6% NaCl concentration shown in the Wikipedia entry is the source of your customer requirement.
