Does anyone have practical experience with the T60. Are the main biassed differential elements and the restricted ground fault protection elements stable for energisation and through faults?

RE: T60 Universal Relay Transformer Protection Relay

We used one on a utility distribution transformer.  It has been in service about a year and it has worked fine, although we do not use the restricted earth fault.  The biggest problem with the UR series is getting the correct modules ordered, then figuring out how to program it.  There are no default settings and even basic trip function must be programmed using their logic editor.

Also, make sure you check the inverse time curves carefully.  For the U.S. curves, the T60 uses a different equation than the older Multilin relays.  So an IEEE "Very Inverse" curve will not be the same as an ANSI "Very Inverse curve on a Multilin SR-745 for the same settings.

Hope that helps.
