vee-ball valves versus butterfly valves

vee-ball valves versus butterfly valves

(OP)
Apart from from COST, any there any reasons that vee-ball valves would not be acceptable or better than butterfly valves for process air lines in bioreactors on Wastewater Treatment Plants? I would appreciate comments from those who have used  vee-ball valves for this particular applications?

RE: vee-ball valves versus butterfly valves

The use of a Vee Ball for air control is much better than butterfly valves. If you can afford them use them every time. If it reduces your air consumption because you have tighter control then the biggest power user on a sewage treament plant is optimised. Also you better control of your nitrification.
