Have been given the task of developing new numbering system for old boiler. Some tags and some tag information exist.
The last person started system and 2mo. In was fired.
Admin want it done, slap tags and go.
Plant wants logical system to produce logical PM work order. but admin produces w.o.
I have big ears to listen to ideas be for they replace me too.

Use ISA-5.1-1984 (R1992) as your standard and especially so if that's what the balance of the plant uses.
