Choke Valve erosion index
Choke Valve erosion index
(OP)
Hi
What is meant by erosion index with relation to Choke Valve? I am doing evaluation for choke valves for oil and gas chokes. One of the vendors has indicated erosion index values for each choke valve. My question is
1.Is there a maximum limit of erosion index? Is it defined in any standards?
2.Erosion index value of 125 or 30, what dose it indicate actually? Dose it quantify erosion of trim / body etc over a period of time?
3.How erosion index is compared and with what?
4.Other vendors have not indicated these values; shall this parameter be taken into evaluation?
Thanks.
