Clone Assembly-not TeamCenter items--NX 7.5 & TC

Clone Assembly-not TeamCenter items--NX 7.5 & TC

I Cloned an Assembly and it cloned and numbered everything, including renumbering the 'standard' items (screws&dowels, etc) already in TeamCenter. (Not Good)
Is there a way to Clone an Assembly, without duplicating items already in TeamCenter within the Assembly?

Say again please ?

RE: Clone Assembly-not TeamCenter items--NX 7.5 & TC

You are importing assemblies into TeamCenter, one or more of the assemblies contained parts that were already in TeamCenter and they duplicated the existing parts (2 part numbers for the same part). If this is the case, it can be avoided.

For existing parts, you'll have to add an 'exception' to change the import rule; the option you want is "use existing". Change this for each part that is already in TeamCenter. When you perform the import (or dry run) NX will prompt you for the existing TeamCenter file to use.
