AFT Chempak

AFT Chempak

(OP)
I know that AFT is for piping hydraulic calculation. Is the AFT Chempak a different name of AFT or a new program for different purpose?

RE: AFT Chempak

Chempak is an add-on program (by AFT) that provides fluid properties for a long list of chemicals to be used in other AFT programs.  It does not perform hydraulic calculations.

RE: AFT Chempak

Chempak is great for determining the fluid properties of mixtures (particularly hydrocarbons). It is a bought in product and covers some 700 fluids.

It is a source of information that is used in AFT's other products such as Fathom (steady state) and Impulse (transient analysis). It can also be a standalone product if you run other hydraulic analysis software.

I have used it for over 10 years.
