NFPA 13R - Detached Garages

It's been a while since I did a 13R project with a detached garage serving more than one unit.  Do they require protection under 13R?  Is so, it OH-1, 13 calc?

RE: NFPA 13R - Detached Garages

What do you mean detached garage serving more than one unit???

As in totaly seperate  from the residental building ???

RE: NFPA 13R - Detached Garages

(OP)

Yes, totally separate from the building.  There is a three unit residential building with a garage as a separate building 30 feet away on the property.  There is one parking spot in the garage for each unit.

RE: NFPA 13R - Detached Garages

not required, unless the local ahj has different rules
