Hollow portion in a solid

Hollow portion in a solid

Hollow portion in a solid

(OP)
Hello ,

I have created a solid body and in that part,inside some solid has been cut.This makes the main solid hollow from inside at some particular area which is invisible from outside.

If  I make the part in wire frame and see ,it can be seen.

But what about some minor hollow objects which may be present in the big parts like IP,Head liner etc.

So my question is,whether it is possible to show hollow portions present in a body ?

For better clarification I have attached an image please have a look.

RE: Hollow portion in a solid

So, Your question is; How can you see the inside more clearly?
You can edit the color of the faces inside the hollow.
Edit->Object Display (pull-down)->Type, only "Face" is highlighted->OK->selct faces->OK->select color and change to what you want->OK

RE: Hollow portion in a solid

What version of NX are you running?

If it's at least NX 5.0 you should be able to use Check Mate, by going to...

Analysis -> Check Mate -> Tests -> SASIG-PDQ -> Solids (G-SO) -> Solid void: G-SO-VO
