(OP)
Hello guys, after reading some post about this topic, I just wonder if every time we have an opening in skirt support, it is required to replace the area?, what is the calculation method?

RE: skirt openings

Common practice is to replace the area.  As far as determining the size of the area allowed for removal one method I have used in the past is found in EN13445-3.  I believe that is the method that Coade's PVElite uses as well.

RE: skirt openings

The area replacement calculation is a pressure design consideration, do we need to consider the wind and seismic moments and dead weight on the opening?
