I'm new, and I've never seen veneer torsion box sandwich panels before. I'm finding lots of info on sandwich panels, but not torsion box core. Where can I research torsion box structure? Thanks!

RE: veneer torsion box

How do they differ from a typical cheap interior door?

Many regular interior doors have paper honeycomb or no core. We use a veneer grid embedded in EPS foam, sandwiched with veneer skins. Are there other veneer cores to compare this with?

RE: veneer torsion box

Then you would be looking for information on 'grid core', eh?

Making the grid from veneer adds some anisotropy that could be interesting, but for a first pass, is the grid material really important?
