Material Color

Material Color

(OP)
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone here could help me.
I'm trying to find a way to change the color of the parts with the same material at once. Or maybe just to highlight them.
I would like to see which parts have which material specified. When I try to change the color of a material, it changes only for that specific part, but all the other parts of the assembly remain unchanged.

Any suggestions?

Thnx

RE: Material Color

There is no shortcut to selecting all of the parts that have the same material.  I would give you a word of caution as well.  Be careful where you apply those appearances as it is easy to forget what overrides what.

RE: Material Color

Take a look at the "Assembly Visualization" tool. You can select Material as a sortable property. (you'll have to add it)

Once you have your materials sorted, you can use the slider bars  on the far left to temporaily change the color/appearance based on material.
