precision vibration table
precision vibration table
(OP)
I'm looking for a precision vibration table which exhibit a very low cross axis motion (typically <1%) in order to test the cross axis sensitivity of an accelerometer.
The standard electrodynamic shaker have a typical cross axis motion of about 5%.
Do you know a device able to solve my problem?

RE: precision vibration table
Anyway, it would be dead easy to build one. Take a standard shaker, and look at the suspension system. On the ones I've taken apart it is often a pair of grp plates with most of the material cut away. This gives good axial compliance whilst being fairly stiff radially. We used to call them spiders, don't know why.
Copy that idea, ie using a pair to give good angular control, and then attach a shaker using a flexible stinger.
