Quick Connect toolbox to bicycle rack
Quick Connect toolbox to bicycle rack
(OP)
Hi everybody. I thought maybe the good people here could help me out. I'd like to mount a toolbox (or army surplus ammo can) to my bicycle rack, and I'd like it to be a quick connect type of mount for easy removal. I'd also like it to be semi-secure, so that someone can't easily remove it if the box is locked - I want the quick connect inside the box. The simplest thing I can think of is a couple of u-bolts through the bottom of the box, secured with wingnuts. But I'm wondering if the mechanical types here could suggest something more elegant, so I can wow my friends and impress the ladies. So how about it? How would you mount the box?

1/4 turn camloc studs, captive in floor of tool box. many "chick magnet" styles available.

I would use at least three.
Very robust stuff, we use 'em to hold stuff on airplanes, so they'd be fine on your two-wheeler.
Just the other day a gaggle of hot women had to be removed from the taxiway by TSA personnel; they were mindlessly following a departing aircraft.

Now you're talking. That is some sexy stuff. Now I'll have to figure out how to mount the stick I'll need to fend off the hordes of admiring females. Thanks for your help - that looks like the way to go.
