Is it possible to take a offset section of V engine where we can able to show 2 Piston cross section at same time [piston, con rod will be offset]

I think you need the function Break Out Section in drafting, like in following thread.

Micky

I am talking about in Modeling (View - Section) so that we can show cros-sections easily for presentations.

In drafting we can do this easily by offset section and using shaded option in section mode of style, it takes time and also not simple as doing in modeling.

Have you looked at either Assembly Cut or PMI Sectioning?

Assembly cut and PMI takes long time in a complete Engine model, but looks good unless there are no other options.

should have awsome if this can be done using Modeling - Section option

anyway thanks again John

RE: Offset Section of Engine (UG Nx 7.5 modeling module)

The so-called dynamic or what you called 'Modling Section' is using a graphics technique of defining the boundaries of the graphics space which is only manipulating what is displayed not the model itself.  The reason that this appears to work very fast is because it's all done in the graphics engine and is visual only.  It's also limited to infinite planes configured individually, cutting 'space' in half, or in pairs, taking a slice of 'space', or as six planes bounding 'space' as a rectilinear 'box'.
