ASTM D 1194 is a Withdrawn standard, as stated in astm.org site. what does this mean? is there any other equivalent standards for Plate load test method?

A withdrawn standard is an ASTM standard that has been discontinued by the ASTM Sponsoring Committee responsible for the standard.

A standard may be withdrawn with or without replacement.

ASTM makes withdrawn standards available for informational purposes.

Subcommittees responsible for standards develop can withdraw a standard if they consider that it has limited continued use value.  This test was rarely done for this purpose anymore.

There are two active plate load tests that can be used....there's very little difference in them.  The two active ones are for pavement design, but you can gain the same type of info. They are ASTM D1195 (static, repetitive) and D1196 (static, non-repetitive)
