50 vs. 60 Hz electro-mechanical 50/51 calibration

50 vs. 60 Hz electro-mechanical 50/51 calibration

(OP)
I've noticed some electrical-mechanical overcurrent(50/51) relays labeled 50/60 Hz and others labeled 60 HZ. We have been requested to calibrate several relays for 50Hz operation.  Is there a consideration for 50 vz 60 Hz calibration of the same relay? We are in a 60Hz country.

Thank you.

RE: 50 vs. 60 Hz electro-mechanical 50/51 calibration

Depending on your test set, it may be possible to do the test at 50 Hz regardless of your supply frequency.  This would be the preferred alternative, at least if I were your customer.
