Rewheel datasheet?

RE: What do we mean by rewheel?

Your question is vague, but for a centrifugal compressor, a rewheel may be required to accomidate different conditions (flow, pressure, MW, etc).

My experience is just to complete a new compressor datasheet (i.e. modify the process data on the original datasheet) to reflect the new conditions. The manufacturer will take this data and figure out the new wheels and diapraghms that are needed. At the plant engineer level there is not a datasheet for specifying individual wheel conditions.

best wishes,
sshep

RE: What do we mean by rewheel?

In case you didn't pick it up from sshep's post, the "wheel" of a centrifugal compressor is the "impeller".  "Rewheeling" is changing the impellers.

Yup, didn't get the wheel's meaning.

Thanks. Blessings!
