Anyone know of some good beam (structural) calculating apps?

Kind of depends on what you actually want.  There are programs like Mathcad that have Roark's formulas, or have other worksheets.

Likewise, Excel has some worksheets floating around for beam analysis.

There are purpose-built beam analysis programs whose names escape me at the moment.

As IRStuff says, there is a load of stuff out there, but you might like to have a look at my spreadsheet based solution:

If interested, follow the links back for more details about how it works.

Any questions, please ask.
