Are the materials listed below suitable for use as pressure bounding material according to the ASME BPVC Section II, Section A?

ASTM 1020
ASTM 106
API 5L, Grade B
ASTM 516
 

RE: ASME Section II Materials

No. ASTM A-1020 and API 5L are not listed in Section II.
ASTM A-106 and A-516 may be if they are SA-106 and SA-516 as defined in Section II.   

RE: ASME Section II Materials

Not all materials listed in Section II, Part A or B are permitted for use in pressure boundary applications. The materials permitted for use are in Section II, Part D, where allowable stress lines are provided for material specification and grade.
