I already ordered some spiral wound gaskets. Now the valve supplier is telling me that I need to take my valves with smooth finish RF   flange facing with Ra between 3.2 and 6.3 micro-m. Even if I specified serrated spiral RF flange face with Ra between 3.2 and 6.3 micro-m.

We have experience in installation of spiral wound gaskets with RF serrated face.

Installation of RF smooth finish with spiral wound gaskets may be a source of leakage.

I haven't found the answer on WWW so maybe here.

Regards to all
